Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) is engaged in the development, construction, and management of industrial estates and infrastructure projects in the state of Andhra Pradesh. APIIC was incorporated in 1973 with the objective of developing and enhancing industrial infrastructure in undivided Andhrapradesh. APIIC provides comprehensive services for the industrial sector in Andhra Pradesh by way of land acquisition, feasibility study, designing, executing, managing, and monitoring of large-scale infrastructure projects. The APIIC has so far executed more than 165 km of roads, constructed more than 900 units of industrial units and developed 1.3 million sq. ft. of land in various parts of the State.
The APIIC goal is to improve the quality of life for citizens by developing sustainable industrial infrastructure that meets the needs of the state’s population. APIIC also aims to create jobs for locals and increase economic development in Andhra Pradesh.
The company operates through four divisions: Infrastructure Development, Operation & Maintenance, Marketing & Sales, and Financing. Each division is responsible for specific aspects of the company’s mission. For example, Infrastructure Development Division develops and manages projects while Operation & Maintenance Division ensures these projects are operational. Marketing & Sales focuses on attracting investors to the company’s projects, and Financing provides the necessary funding for project development.
APIIC is responsible for promoting industrialization in the state of Andhra Pradesh by developing and implementing policies and initiatives that will benefit the state’s industries. The corporation also provides financial assistance to businesses through its various programs and services. In addition, APIIC manages and operates a number of infrastructure projects across the state.
APIIC has played the main role in mega-projects such as HITEC City, Hyderabad now in Telangana; Special Economic Zones such as Sricity, a developing Satellite City in the epicenter of Andhra Pradesh and TamilNadu. Visakha Industrial Water Supply, Gangavaram Port, Convention Centre, and Mega Industrial Park at Parawada.
Besides, the Corporation is also developing sector focussed parks like apparel parks/food processing parks/leather parks, and Special Economic Zones in the state. The Corporation has also constructed 3500 industrial sheds, 4800 dormitory units, and 466 commercial shops.
APIIC is an initiative of the Andhra Pradesh government to promote industrial development in the state. APIIC has developed 300 industrial parks spreading over an extent of about 1,21,655 acres(including the allotted area). Currently, APIIC is developing 10 industrial clusters with the support of the central government.
