What is (KSIIDC), Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation?

The Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (KSIIDC) is a public sector enterprise engaged in the development of industrial estates, logistics parks and special economic zones. It was constituted in 1964 with the objective to promote industrial growth in Karnataka by way of developing infrastructure facilities at the regional level. KSIIDC has been instrumental in the development of several major industrial corridors in Karnataka viz Mangalore-Udupi, Bengaluru-Mysuru, Bangalore-Tumkur, Bangalore-Hubballi and Mandya-Belagavi.

KSIIDC History

The Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited was established in 1964 with the objective to provide financial assistance and promote industrial development in the State.

KSIIDC is headquartered in Bengaluru and has regional offices in Mysuru, Hubballi-Dharwad, Belgaum, Bangalore Rural, Gulbarga, and Davanagere. The corporation has been instrumental in the development of infrastructure & industrial clusters in Karnataka viz. Uttara Phases I & II of IT hub Infosys Ltd., IT Park Rajajinagar, Khaneez Bhawan, Novartis AG’s Special Economic Zone at HSR Layout, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd’s Hudco Refinery, etc. KSIIDC has also been associated with several public sector undertakings such as the Railways (Karnataka State Transport Corporation), Steel Authority of India Limited, Air India (Karnataka) Limited, and SPIC-Cooperative Urban Bank Ltd amongst others.
